What does Salvation mean?
"And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation." Isa 25:9
Salvation is an encounter with God in which a person experiences a change in their heart and life. This is what Jesus was speaking about in John 3 when he told Nicodemas, "You must be born again." Once you have experienced salvation, according to 2 Corinthians 5:17, "if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
